Alexandra has dedicated her entire career to the practice of matrimonial and family law. With a distinguished background in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Alexandra has an acute awareness of the emotional intricacies involved in divorce, custody disputes, and pre/post-nuptial agreements. Her focus and passion are centered on helping empower her clients to navigate through these significant life changes to achieve their goals.
Named as a “Rising Star” in family law by the Super Lawyers – New York Metro list, Alexandra has substantial litigation and trial experience, having appeared regularly in both New York Supreme Court and Family Court. She has also been trained as a mediator through the Center for Understanding in Conflict. Before joining Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark in March 2022, Alexandra practiced family law in Manhattan at Pryor Cashman, as well as at a boutique matrimonial firm. In addition, she worked as a Volunteer Associate for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in the Department of Children and Families.
While in law school, Alexandra served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jack M. Sabatino of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. She was the Associate Managing Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal and was selected to be a member of the Rutgers Moot Court Executive Board. She also participated in the Rutgers Domestic Violence Clinic, where she handled pro bono cases involving temporary and final orders of protection.
