Past Child Stars Divorce Proves Life Is No Brady Bunch

We all probably know the theme song: “Here’s the story, of a lovely lady, who was bringing up three very lovely girls…” The very popular “The Brady Bunch” portrayed an array of crazy plot lines. But nowhere in the theme song or in the theme of the show in general would most of us have expected to see any of the Brady children file for divorce.

Reports indicated last week that one of the former Brady boys is in the process of divorce. Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady, filed divorce papers on Aug. 19. He and “America’s Next Top Model” winner Adrianne Curry have been married for five years.

Reality TV fans were able to watch the celebrity couple’s relationship build and become official, beginning when the two met on a VH1 series in 2005. They were later married on another reality program. It was an unexpected pairing in the beginning, largely because of the age difference between Knight, 53, and Curry, 29.

The written reason for the pending divorce is the common “irreconcilable differences.” That can mean many things, but the couple has affirmed at least one notable detail of the split. They insist that the divorce is what both Knight and Curry want. Also, they promise that the process will be an amicable one.

Whether the couple has a prenuptial agreement is yet to be disclosed. This is, however, Knight’s third divorce, so maybe he did have the foresight to create a prenup before saying “I do.”

We will keep you posted with any new developments in this celebrity case.
